Client Reviews
We have been so fortunate to connect with Amanda for math tutoring! Amanda is kind, patient, and a fabulous teacher. She was able to keep my neurodivergent son, who was struggling with math, at grade level throughout middle school and on the opposite end help my daughter with advanced math. Amanda successfully taught my very different kids with very different learning styles and math aptitudes - she is an absolute gem! We look forward to continuing to work with her through the high school years.
- Jenn, ParentAs a student who struggles with dyscalculia, school has always been very challenging for me, and I have never felt like my teachers understood my brain or how to effectively teach me as a student. With Amanda, however, it couldn't be any more different.
I cannot emphasise enough how life changing working with Amanda has been, and I am so thankful for her ability to meet me where I am at and adapt to my needs and learning styles as a student instead of expecting me to adapt to her teaching style the way most teachers do (in my experience).
When I started working with Amanda a little over two years ago, I was at roughly a second grade math level despite being in my second year of College, and meeting my goals to work in STEM seemed impossible. However, now I am able to pass college level algebra classes and grasp concepts that before would have otherwise felt otherworldly, and am able to pursue my dreams of going into STEM.
Her patience with me and skill as a teacher has been life changing, and I couldn't recommend her as a tutor enough.

About Amanda
Hi! I’m Amanda. I am a former teacher turned tutor with 15 years experience in education. My expertise is filling in math gaps and helping “non-math” people find confidence and success in the subject. As a creative person, I always try to bring a visual flare to more abstract concepts.
Outside of tutoring, you can find me working on my latest art project or cuddled up with my cats reading a good book or playing video games.
